Feast your eyes on my new knitting project.
*loves*
It's called..."Tubey". Which isn't the most creative name, but whatever. It's called Tubey, cause...it's got the most simple construction. Which, a lot of people seem to be doing that now a days...making stuff that doesn't need seeming. All knit in the round, or like, knit one part, that's left on a stitch holder, then you knit a sleeve or something, and do a 3 needle bind-off...which automatically seems them together without the bother of *actually* seeming them.
Wow, rabbit trail
Um, it's called Tubey because....it's all knit in the around, and so it's just 2 big long tubes. So, yes. Tubey is it's name.
My yarn? It called for Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. Which, is like...SOOOOOOOO soft. I've made beanies as presents for people before with this yarn, and I loved knitting with it.
I also changed up the color way, I decided I needed to branch out...and it also depended on the yarn store's selection, lol.
Heh...just read through that again....and wouldn't quite make sense to non-knitters. Color way, being what the pattern called for. Knitting is amazingly like that....there's so many options that you can choose to do with your knitting...it's not even funny.
Here's what I came up with.

~ Stripe (CC)

~ Stripe (CC)

~ Stripe (CC)

~ Stripe (CC)

~ Stripe (CC)

~ Main color. (MC)
And...that's it. The only main, huge ginormous problem...they didn't have enough balls of my main color. Which, is like totally devastating. Since...it's the MAIN COLOR. They only had 2 balls....which we took, and I need 7. So, since it's one that they always carry....we ordered some more. But I think it'll be like a week before it comes in. But, already...last night I finished my first ball. So...yeah. By the time I finish the 2nd ball, it won't be even close to the striping yet..so...major sadness.
And...so yeah...
Oh, something I wanted to share. From my mom's knitting calender...major surprise there :-)
"Purls of Wisdom...Knitters are frequently accused of being obsessed with the process and the stuff we use to do it with. I think that sounds sort of negative. Instead of describing myself as 'obsessed with knitting, ' I prefer to think of my lifestyle as exquisitely focused in a very narrow direction. "
I...don't really think being called "obsessed with knitting" a negative thing.. But whatever. Either way, it's awesome. :-D
